(2 washed away | like puddles) you know you should be glad [10 Dec 2003|07:20pm] [ mood | satisfied ] [ music | She Loves You ~ The Beatles ] These last few weeks have been very hectic and stressful, but they all ended well. The SADD Benefit Concert was definitely a success, after all the stressing I went through to put it together. Now we have $1800 in our account! Everyone seemed to have a great time. We had about 200 people total at the show. All the bands were great. The guys from Athea told me they had some surprise that I would like and to be near the front during their performance, and they definitely tricked me. I thought they would say something like, "support your school's chapter of SADD" or something, but no. During the middle of their song, they all randomly stopped playing, pointed at me, and yell "Stephanie is awesome!". Definitely didn't expect that, haha. But it was very sweet. Yer Mom debuted their new song, Ardvark. David Gonzaga had his own little performance between Not Yet Fallen and Neighborhood Friendly's performance... it was so emo! Afterward, went to try to go to Ihop with Kristen, but we got lost on Jeff Davis. Pretty scary/exciting experience. :-) Sunday, went to Alley Katz with Molly. Pretty interesting night driving around Richmond for the first time... We stayed to see Hidden in Plain View & some of Copeland's performance. Pretty awesome, but no crowd surfing. :'( Definitely will have to do that next time though. School's going okay... not making the grades I wanted to of course. But when does that ever really happen? lol. We're doing the Christmas Door Decorating for Truth Seekers on Friday, and having cake while we decorate it! Definitely will be fun. I've been driving around a lot, which unfortunately makes me very poor after gas money. And I still need to buy most of the Christmas gifts for people. This weekend should be pretty fun, even if I'm going to miss Yer Mom's performance at Asian Paul's party. :-( Friday night, I babysit my cousins & spend the night over there. Saturday, going Christmas shopping in Richmond and finishing up my science fair project research at U of R. Then babysitting for FEA, and hopefully going out to eat afterward. Should be fun... I'm definitely looking forward to this week being over!

Got my license on monday! Didn't actually drive anywhere until wednesday... to tiffany's, my grandparents', and Cornerstone. After Thanksgiving dinner got to drive over to my grandma's house. This morning, woke up at 5 AM with my cousins and grandma to try to find all the good deals. Seriously, none of them were worth that. I'm super tired! Got a few Christmas gifts for people at good prices. Went home around 11. So Molly, Gina, & I had been trying to make plans all day to hang out with all the college people who would be leaving us again soon. None of the plans ended up working, haha. At the last minute, David picked me up and we met with Brandon & Sarah to go to Bottom's Up. Met up with Lauren, Gina, and Sean there. Great pizza. On the way back to Brandon's, David & I got lost all over the place in Richmond and in Chesterfield... great times. :-) Played DDR for a while (even though I'm horrible, haha!) with everyone, Jonathan, Eric, Jenni, and Bentley joined us.... then Sean gave Gina & me rides back home. So since I've been up since waaay too early in the morning I must get some sleep.

Who knew? I guess I decide to update when I'm annoyed at something and have a few minutes of free time. Got a couple questions for the world: - Why do some people try to prove their rebuttal to a person who says something mean to them by just using profane words? What exactly is this proving? That your vocabulary sucks and you can't find anything real to say in response? Go ahead, sink to their level, all while proving that they were probably right in the first place. Good use of intuition, genius. - If I try to hint at something with the sentence, "If you believe in something strongly enough you'd put your name behind it", does it not make sense that I want to know who you are, if you truly believe what you write? I'm glad you don't truly agree with your comment. Less people for me to have to argue with when I prove to them that abortion is just baby killing. - So what's up with some people getting upset at some of their best friends over trivial stuff? I can't wait to see you again in 30 years still holding a grudge because someone took your halloween costume idea. How old are we now, guys? Hopefully over the age of 7. [and I don't mean to belittle any of you 7 year olds] - How many times does it take for a weirdo math teacher to understand that you won't accept a C+ in his class? At this point, it's over 10. We get class rank this year. Don't try to screw it up for me, guy. - Either you're in band, you're not, or you are in band but just don't really care. It matters to some people, so if you're just going to laugh when we get something below a superior rating, should you really be surprised if someone just goes over and smacks you? Some of us really care. So if you don't care, you have three options... a) get your uncaring self out of band b) shutup about it and start caring to some extent c) keep not being in band, but don't try to belittle those who are. *ok, so this was my one complaining entry. Be nice and just read and don't say/comment anything mean. Sometimes everyone needs to vent and not have everyone else be a jerk. None of these are in any way pointed at anyone in a malicious way. All these questions... they're definitely rhetorical. *&... to make everyone feel better since I was kinda out of my usual state... here's a wonderful picture from a certain awesome website. Which leads to me practically never updating my journal. So the important events of the last few weeks: I'm struggling super hard to try to make semi-good grades. Unfortunately, it's failing. Miserably. Homecoming. Got my dress from Betsy Johnson! I'm not so sure it was worth the money though. Ohh well. But homecoming was so cool. Went to Lucca with Jonathan, met up with everyone. When we finally got to the dance, hung out mostly with him, Brandon, Kristen, Molly, David, and Nicole. Randomly saw a whole bunch of Dale kids there. The plan actually worked ;-) On the way to the competition on saturday, sat with Andrew. On the way back, sat with David. That means a definitely interesting day... Well, i'll just come out and say it. We got a 2 at State. How, you ask? I have no idea. We've worked so hard. :'( It makes me so mad that some people just don't care. Seriously why are you still in it if you don't care at all?? We had no phasing at all. We did so well. Ahh i'm so mad at that. After we got home from competition, Sharon, Chris, Eddie, Lisa, David, and Ted came over to try to get our minds off of the day. So since around the time of the hurricane... Saw TMI perform some day, they were really good @ battle of the bands... Had a mini party to celebrate the hurricane at Eddie's. Finally saw Sean since he left for college! We all went to WalMart. I went to that awesome smoothie place. and chesterfield towne center. Ted drove us. Monday i babysat Cassie, Amanda, & Brittany all day and then went out to dinner at Unos with the family. Had band practice wednesday. Went over to Gina's house with Molly, had dinner & decided that we're going to make Jason take us to sandbridge on friday. Went on a picnic today at the pond in salem woods. Alex & Adam randomly joined us. :-) Went back to molly's after fishing. Got home, went to Stony Point with Alex. Had Baskin Robbins icecream. I'm really annoyed at homecoming. I'm pretty certain that the guy I want to ask me won't, and he has no clue I want him to ask me. So it's just hopeless. :-\ I can chill with everyone, it'll turn out okay. I barely have time for anything! :'( I left school early on tuesday and Eddie gave a bunch of us a ride to help Kevin with his recent loss. I felt so unbelievably bad, when he read a poem about his dad in front of everyone. It was so sad to think that his sister will never have her dad walk her down the aisle when she gets married. I'm really glad that we were about to be there for him, I think it helped him deal with everything better. My prayers will definitely be with his family. We finally had the SADD meeting on thursday. I think it went really well... we had 28 people sign in. I'm starting to worry about whether or not I should stay in AP History, I'm not doing so well. If I don't have atleast a B by interum, I'll definitely switch out. Mrs. Joosse keeps making me feel bad for not switching into her class, but ohh well. I have too much stress as it is with history & stupid Mr. Rafferty. Kristen switched into my spanish class, pretty cool. Today at lunch, had a great time with everyone... Ted invited me to go with everyone to the mall tonight. Kevin licked my lunchbox, lmbo. Joe invited me to go to youth group at St. Anne's last night, but I was too busy with homework to go. :-\ My friend Mara is published in the William & Mary Newspaper! Go read her article, "Atleast I'm Not An Airport". SADD's planning a benefit concert with a whole bunch of bands, including Yer Mom & Neighborhood Friendly... only $5 admission! All proceeds go to the promotion of driving sober and SADD activities. Probably will be on Nov. 1st. So mark your calendars, guys! It bothers me when people say, "ohh, i'm a (fill in a religion here)" when they don't pratice it, have remotely the same beliefs as their supposed "faith", or really bring it up until it's convenient in some other form to them. Sorry for the randomness. On another note, I wrote a poemish thing. I want everyone to read it. Not because it's good, but because it's something I want everyone to know. Guard practice. Went to get ice cream from Cold Stone with Alex. Great times. :-) Went to Cornerstone with Molly. Had an amazing time. David took me, Molly, & LeAnne to friendly's to meet up with everyone. Listened to his awesome techno. :-) We all got nifty color changing straws!! Shea showed us her cute new car! Said bye to Jonathan. :'( Everyone's leaving/left for college. But I am definitely staying in touch with all of them! On the way back home, David let me drive his camaro in LeAnne's neighborhood! :-) Definitely need to take the mustang out sometime soon. Thursday. Band Camp/ Parent Preview Night. Afterward, went over to iChester with Sean, Ted, Molly, Curtis, Michael, and a whole bunch of random band people and past band people, haha. Found out that I'm not good at all at Counter Strike. This guy was helping me, then was kinda flirting. I definitely didn't show any interest. So I'm thinking that psychologically I'm either a) definitely not wanting a boyfriend right now. or b) already totally crushing on someone but I don't know it. [so i'm guessing A] Which I find rather strange. Am I no longer the flirty type person? Hmm. I have no clue. So on the way home, Curtis and I stopped by David's house. Looked at his awesome car. :-) Got home around 10. Today. Practice until noon. Didn't end up going to David's. Cleaned my room when I got home, then went to subway. Got over to Ted's house and heard Yer Mom play for a while, with Michelle, Jenny, & Molly. Drove to Lucca with my parents to eat dinner after I got back. My stupid mom. Making me mad. She was screaming at me because I got too close to some car. I would have been able to slow down faster if she wasn't yelling at me the whole time. :-O When we got back home she was trying to tell me some weird way to park... so she friggen made me get out of the car so she could park. I've been driving for a little while now, I can park on my own thanks. >:o So I don't think I will be driving with her again any time soon.
